2030 Vision

Building a community of Queensland Business Influencers who are using their businesses as a force for good, solving the world’s most meaningful problems. By 2030, we’ll be making a $20M Dent to social causes locally and globally.

What Is The 2030 Vision?

We have more access to information, resources and human capital than in any other time in history. However, despite these phenomenal feats, billions of our friends in neighbouring countries still live in abject poverty and dire situations, and daily life is a struggle for basic necessities that I (and many in developed nations) take for granted.

Still to this day, over 4 billion people live in poor sanitation conditions. I just can’t imagine growing up not having access to clean water or sewage. That blows my mind.

Travelling to over 30 countries and seeing how people live in third world nations gives you a sense of appreciation for how fortunate we are to live in such an amazing country. The $20M Dent 2030 Vision is intended to raise awareness for important causes, whilst also connecting business leaders who share the same passion for purpose.

Why I Embarked On This Journey

I was born in the USA, grew up in Australia and have spent a majority of my professional life in the UK. My wife is South African and my children have the choice of five passports. For these reasons, I see myself as a global citizen.

After 100 trips to the hospital in 2017 for the birth of my second daughter, we were given access to the highest levels of care. Had we not been given access to them, my life would not be the same.

This moment inspired me to build what is now our 2030 Vision - Making a $20 Million Dent!

Through the Queensland Business Influencers 4 Good Podcast, we are creating a community of business leaders across Queensland who use their businesses as a force for good. Being part of this community means that we all pledge 1% of our turnover to meaningful causes.

Make A Dent Today

By 2030, we will have a combined giving impact of $20 million a year.

Supporting both local and global causes with the sole purpose of giving others the same opportunities that we are fortunate to have just because we won the human lottery and were born or live in the best state and country in the world.

Make An Impact, Make A Dent

On 25 September 2015, world leaders convened to adopt the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) detailing the global community’s next step in ending poverty, fighting inequality and injustice, and tackling climate change for the next 15 years. Each project listed on B1G1 contributes to one or more SDGs. And here are the impacts in each SDG.
